Good on you, Hazeae24. It takes a lot of maturity and compassion to apologize like that. I too feel the same way as you do, but as you have stated, doing better in the future is what we owe to the staff team. I am in full support of the staff and can only imagine what they are going through. Thanks for helping spread such good behavior through this great community. You're a real role model for lots of people, myself included. I hope we can all overcome this and use this as a bonding experience. Have a great day!
Awh, thank you so much! It's wonderful to know that kind people like you are willing to support me and Mineplex as we work together to improve. Have a wonderful day/night too! <3
Okay, if you truly wanted Mineplex to succeed, you'd stop letting them add useless updates that nobody asks for when there are hundreds -- and I mean hundreds -- of game-breaking bugs on the server. The playercount isn't dropping because there's nothing to play; the playercount is dropping because bugs are never fixed and even more broken updates get shoved into our faces with no regard for community satisfaction.
Saying "but everyone here likes it!" is stupid. That's confirmation bias. Of course the people who stayed liked it; that's why they stayed. Yet here we are with statistically 90% of the playerbase completely gone or inactive and you still think you're doing what's best for the server.
If you want change, change. Doing the same shit that killed the server isn't going to revive it no matter what your intentions are or how hard you try. It just isn't how business works.
I cannot just simply tell them to stop doing their updates. I have no control over that. I wish I did, but I'm not LT member. I will agree with you that players have left because of the updates that have been pushed. The community kept asking for fixes and patches to improve older games, but we never really got any until very recently. Am I upset about it? Of course, but even that's in the past. There's only so much, as community members we can change when it comes to LT's business decisions. We have influence on what goes on in the server, but at the end of the day the decision isn't exactly ours (as you can see from this update). I will agree with you that we do need to push updates for our older games and to fix bugs and whatnot. No one really wants to see a new game come out anytime soon. I'm not really trying to do the same old stuff we did before. I'm trying to get people to listen to us and so we get updates that are for the community to actually enjoy.
"that are for the community to actually enjoy"
"not doing the same old stuff"
Yes, you are. Pushing an update that cycles through gamemodes? Can you not see how that's the LEAST important thing right now? Quit suggesting that stuff and it won't get added is all I'm saying. Perpetuating their idea that quantity is superiour to quality is the sole reason Mineplex has less than 10% its playerbase left. Nobody enjoys getting more gamemodes and more lobbies thrown in their face, and nobody enjoys getting the most iconic games removed. Nobody enjoys getting ignored, and nobody enjoys playing games full of game-breaking bugs. If you want to do something the community will enjoy, stop with these updates. You think you're doing good but you're seriously not; you're only encouraging the "quantity > quality" notion.
You're one of the only wholesome and genuine staff members this server has, and I can tell you really want it to thrive like it used to, so I'm going to give you this advice:
Fixing > Adding.
Quality > Quantity.
Performance > Cosmetics. (((I get 2,000 fps everywhere except mineplex's lobby, where i get less than 75. That's an issue.)))
If you don't want to listen to me, that's fine. Just don't get upset when the community doesn't come back.
I know you don't have 100% control, but your last few suggestions have been objectively poor judgement on your part. I figured maybe you were just relaying information, but you're part of the reason these updates are getting added in the first place.
I know you're not the reason they removed gamemodes, and I get that you disagree with that. But have you not suggested in the past that old gamemodes be recycled?
Hazae is making the effort to go to the middle ground
If I suggest that random players x y and z should be admins because I feel that they are better for the role, I may be right but it'll never happen. I'd be wasting my time when in reality I should be suggesting ways that the current admins can improve which is something realistic
Pushing for a rotation of games is going to be a realistic outcome, so it's a useful suggestion
Hazae can't choose which updates go through and which do not, so we have to adapt according to what's put out
"Yes, you are. Pushing an update that cycles through gamemodes? Can you not see how that's the LEAST important thing right now? Quit suggesting that stuff and it won't get added is all I'm saying. " I should've been more clear and stated that I meant that this is for the future when this situation has been dealt with. I made the edit and I apologize.

I agree with you in fixing things instead of adding, but sometimes adding improvements, not games, will fix some of the issues that we have that aren't bug related. Mineplex has other problems other than bugs. And adding ONE NPC does not imply that I am trying to add more games that we currently do not need (I'm pretty sure all of us can agree with that). I never said anything about adding new cosmetics, but the cosmetic update was needed to fix the GUI, fix outdated cosmetics, and released level rewards (which the community wanted). I do understand where you're coming from, since I agree with all of your statements.
Thank you so much for this. I’m really impressed by your grace & tact here, and your willingness to work together moving foward. The update hit a lot of people in a lot of different ways, but that doesn’t mean that there’s a need to riot, to get us to listen, when we’re already trying to do just that. So thanks for acknowledging that as well.
We are reviewing options. The Java Devs are currently assigned to projects, so they can’t put those on immediate hold. But we haven’t forgotten, and we don’t intend on throwing you guys in a corner just because you’re in the minority here. Thank you for caring so much <3
I did not see your message as bashing or hating mineplex, but i understand that some people will see it that way. Besides if hated mineplex you would not have become a mod again. I thought when i read your thread that you where the only person who could respectfully disagree with mineplex. I understand if the game castle siege has to be removed because not enough people are playing it, but i will be sad if it is removed. I can only hope that other people read your thread like i did, but all people are different, and have different reactions. Just to be clear i still love castle siege, but i will still support mineplex even if they remove it. I understand if its to much work to keep castle siege but i do hope it will get more players soon.
