You want the Honest answer or the exaggerated one?

Honest.
I hate it.
Reasons?
It's Huge, it's complicated, it's not airborne, there's no classic MP tree, It's huge, the detail it pointless, even when exploring, the portals are 500 blocks away from spawn making you use the NPC's at spawn which make their rooms pointless.

Did I mention it was Huge?
You guys are forgetting the fact that so many games ARE GONE
I do know that, but that wasn't the focus.

And yes, I do care for them too given they were some of the unique ones.
(It’s not airborne / there’s no void to rid of the lag, throwing that out there)
What, void lag?

Yea, water is gonna be better for lag. Water entity vs not even a block.

Seems legit.
Honest answer? Horrible. Worst thing I've ever seen. Trying to be nice answer? Looks ok.

Why don't you like it? What makes it feel horrible for you?
They tried too hard imo. I think they should keep it simple.
Honestly? I do like it. It's a lobby, the only time you're there is to join a game or simply hang out, so outstanding aesthetics aren't really needed, especially with a lobby of this size, which brings me to my next point. The size. The lobby is huge, there's a ton to explore. If you're not in the mood to play any actual games and you just want to relax, you've got a ton of options. You can roam around and explore, find easter eggs, secret rooms, etc., you can do one of the many parkours (though most are a tad easy, but that might just be me), and additionally there are a couple lobby minigames to play. There's more positive than negative, but there are still some smaller downsides, such as the main part of the lobby being a bit grey, but it's not that bad.

Overall I like the update, though I am pretty bummed about the removal of Dragon Escape, but hopefully there will be a more detailed explanation in a forums post outlining why they chose to do what they did.

Honestly, the spawn just doesn't look welcoming. If I was a new player, I would enter a grey world with 3 water gates and 4 characters. I'd rather want to see the diversity of games from the moment I join, so I personally preferred the range of NPCs. It is also kinda small, with not even 30 blocks distance to the portals. The current design fits the Bedrock devices better.
I really wouldn't want to go behind the portals myself, the area looks dead and does not create the classic Mineplex environment. As for the game "boxes", even if intended to have an arcade-style, they are too minimalistic once again, but I enjoy the feature of looking at the kits from the hub.
The bridge in the direction of the hub games is interesting, just as the games and parkours themselves are. Great job on these! It's gonna take some time until all eastereggs are found again, I guess :d
(I miss some kind of reward for finishing the parkours, though)
The lobby is huge, and that's a plus.
SUGGESTIONS:
The hub tree is ruined in its current form, I'd rather split it up into 4 parts again or place it somewhere else.
Give some more variety and colours to the spawn area.
Add more Bridges to connect the games with the spawn.
Change the position of the spawn to where the Hub Games are, and not where the portals are.
And finally, don't move the games too far away.
