Basicly, if you're using a laptop make sure you're using your dedicated GPU (Nvidia or AMD) and not the one that's set by default (Intel Iris Pro something).

That also goes for desktops, too. Also make sure you have the correct and up-to-date drivers for your graphics. Also install Optifine obviously

As I said in the comments above; If you're using a laptop make sure you're using the dedicated GPU. You should turn the performance to max in the GPU program from Nvidia or AMD.
