Empire designs something stupid.
Bad jokes are made.
Take one for the lovingly prequel cantina scene.
Take one each time a Porg(TM) shows up.

People don't consider that 'critics' differentiate critique. Those who score this film lower are those who probably see more story opposed to those, who score it higher, prefer to see BOOM SWOOSH BOOM. Id est: I prefer to see awesome CGI than story. If a movie or show is more concerned about story than some Michael Bay shit, I'm definitely going to yawn and watch something else.

Tbh I didn't care about the story in TLJ, I would prefer to just skip until I reach the battle/dueling scenes. It's how I watch Star Wars films including Lord of the Rings and all that bullshit now. I just skip skip and skip until I get to the stuff I came to see.

Makes sense and hence me saying CGI was great, they are still short lightsaber duel or two, but it works as long as you go for the boom effects XD
