Can we please take inter consideration for a moment that JK Rowling was 9 when Tolkien died. Anyone who says Tolkien copied Rowling is wrong- And anyone who says that Tolkien supplied Rowling with 0 inspiration is also dead wrong.
I've never read HP, but from what I know it appeals to a different audience than LotR. . .. I'd rather watch guys beat each other with swords than people flying on brooms
