Train teachers to use firearms, means, increase in both input as output. The odds of it happening will increase, for one cannot guarantee even a Teacher to stay calm. There are so many factors debatable, such as;

- The Teachers themselves could start these attacks.
- The Teachers could shoot their own students by mistake.
- The Teachers would not be interested in firearms training, causing a crash in the work flow. He ofcourse is a teacher, not a soldier.
- The Teachers are not willing to throw their lives away for some students, I know this is rather selfish, but the majority thinks like this.
Etc, there are basically countless more problems coming with this.

Guns shouldn't be close anywhere near schools, and the Gun current law is really fucked up. Current ideas are all wrong and have massive flaws, there needs to be a real answer yet. Until then, expect many, many more mass shootings.

1. Teachers such as this should not be teachers
2. Not with proper training
3. If a gunman is breaking into a room and the teacher is in their as well as the students, he is still at risk of being killed. He will not mind saving his own life.

Putting a sign that says "no guns allowed" won't stop a crazy man, and better laws won't stop illegal sale of guns. The only way to stop bad guys with guns is good guys with guns

Also, you are incorrect by saying teachers don't want to do it. Many teachers already secretly bring guns to defend their students, and would lay down their life for them.
