jk it's just racism
Let me explain something.

DACA is illegal. Period. The president does not have the authority to alter or implement immigration laws. DACA is not a law. It is an act which was made by Obama.

Let explain something else.

A NATION IS GOVERNED BY LAWS. If you don't want to be subject to the laws of a nation - particularly regarding immigration - THEN DON'T TRY TO ILLEGALLY GO THERE. In fact, if you don't want to be subject to its laws, you probably shouldn't legally go there.

Try to actually think instead of saying "anyone who disagrees with me is a racist xenophobe".
chill, have a reasoned debate without the snark
"A NATION IS GOVERNED BY LAWS"

And are the laws just? LEGALITY is significantly different than ETHICS — this is the closure (or rescinding) of a program that protects people who have come to this country, without their consent (as they were normally toddlers when they were moved), to our country.

If you don't want to be subject to the laws of a nation - particularly regarding immigration - THEN DON'T TRY TO ILLEGALLY GO THERE."

They didn't actually have a choice.

ALSO — this might not be an exact rebuttal, but DACA ensures that almost every single person under it pursues higher education and is in good standing with the law. "Dreamers" have exceptionally good records.

Around 3000 lost their status of dreamers while nearly 800,000 total are registered still today. Those are EXCEPTIONAL numbers.

"THEN DON'T TRY TO ILLEGALLY GO THERE."

you're acting as if people decided to go to america to break the law — they went because of both push and pull factors -> considering political and social oppression of other countries.

Besides the snark, which I do agree, was surprising — let me remind you that this country is founded on laws and a document that declares slave's 3/5th of a WHOLE PERSON. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's right. Hell, this country is built on the culture of dissent.
as for "you're acting as if people decided to go to america to break the law" — I meant the families of dreamers now. Many of them didn't have a choice.

It sounds and, can I say, is unsympathetic and if not insensitive to the realities of other countries. The Dream program, in my opinion, covered holes in Congress that senators and members of the house could probably spend 20 years more debating"

In the words of Obama: "pass a bill". Just because we don't have the legal authority to make something as ethical as protecting children who came here without consent and making sure they're sent to a country they don't even know — we can make them citizens.

also - what's the downside?
say bye to Bye xD
