No, 1.9 PvP is disgusting. That is why almost every major network (Mineplex, Hypixel, etc.) uses pre-1.9 cooldowns. The people who back it may say "it makes the game more realistic." Why are you expecting Minecraft to be realistic, its a game where blocks float (literally.) This is one of the aspects that attracts people to play the game.
