I like the looks of that shotgun thing that they used on the SHield. Also, han still shot first.

It's kind-of the same thing. Though, I wonder, does it use pellets like shotguns or does it use a splitting-matrix to scatter the laser shot?

pellets, It counters any type of shields since its a projectile weapon

I suppose, since (And this is only if I'm remembering correctly) Star wars Shielding only stops things going at a set speed. Though, I may be getting that wrong now that I think about it....
