I think we actually said not to allow "lmao" anymore, I guess we didn't make it clear enough in the staff meeting and notes to all the staff members o_o
That word will never and has never been acceptable when it is being used as an insult or curse. I also find it a disgusting word that I personally use and never like to see people use D: However, the staff team has said multiple times that you can use it if you're not using it as a curse or swear; if you're using it maturity (keyword:maturely) as the name for a donkey. I haven't seen anyone else have any issues with seeing it being said in chat lately, maybe you could mail the team some screenshots of it being used without staff intervening? I really don't think it has been used at all without staff coming in and saying it's a bad word, we have been trying hard to improve our chat moderating.
i get it, but when is ass used to mean butt not a curse or swear word? it means the same in whatever context you place it in. it was acceptable as Doug pointed out in this post: http://www.eoscraftmc.com/atforums/page/2/m/3187406/viewthread/26104280-chat-abbreviations since it was a "light" swear word. i was never against it meaning a donkey as that is a legitimate term. i'm glad to hear it is being verbally censored again.
I too have had issues with some of the language but took my complaint private with screen shots . to my understanding any inappropriate use of words such as ass will not longer be allowed in public chat
wow. i haven't heard that. last i heard it was officially allowed. i have many screenshots of people using bad words and staff not saying anything, so those people went on my /ignore list. i guess i can send those pics if you guys really want to see them
Lunaran points it out well, but the REAL reason it isn't in the autofilter? Because if they add 'ass' to the chat filter all kinds of words will show up as swear words and get autocensored for having 'ass' in the word, so they can't censor it.
i understand why it isn't in autofilter, my issue was that if someone used it they weren't warned against using it. then staff and Doug said it was an allowable swear word. mind blown. glad to hear it is going back on the swear word list.
