If life grew on earth, life can surely grow somewhere else...

The thought of being alone is terrifying because we will never get any help from the universe itself. The thought of not being alone is terrifying because some other life force could be watching us at any moment.

Lel there's probably some life somewhere else, but the odds that it is carbon based? Or anything remotely resembling life on Earth? Very low, at least anywhere near us.

I've often thought about this and I came to this conclusion: If we really are alone in the universe, with all those countless stars and Galaxies and planets, then it seems to me someone put a whole lot of work into the window dressing.

I don't think of it as terrifying either way... it'd be cool if there were other living beings with cognitive intelligence, because then maybe some day that whole star wars shit could come true, but if there's no one, what's terrifying about that?

The third theory: We aren't alone, but other species in the universe are primitive life forms, so they pose no threat :d That's the non-scary one.

thats the same as the ''alone'' one
Well what if they're intelligent life forms, but really friendly ones that don't want to take over our planet? Like space Hobbits.
