I wouldn't really considering to be addicting like the way many new / popular games are. I would consider it to be exciting and unique, since nothing like this has ever been done on such a big scale
I live in a large city and I met 20-30 people playing today. From 6 year olds with thair parents to poeple in their 20's. I walked around with my brother in circles for 5 miles and it was a ton of fun. Pople would shout out across the street 'What team bro!' or 'follow me there is a squirtle1'. It really brought my neighborhood together, quite amazing for a mobile game.
I have one that's like a 10 minute bike ride from my house. However I was looking on a map and I found there's a park that's 20 minutes from my house that has literally 25+ pokestops all in a big loop around the park. I can't even imagine how many other people are also going to be there lol
I just got it because it looked cool, and like I had the same experience as you. There is a park like 5 min walking distance from my house with 2 gyms (One of the gyms is a bit farther away), and 3 poke stops. I ran into a big group of people all playing the game while walking through the park.
I never have played a Pokemon game before (I have but I didn't enjoy it). This was quite fun.
I've heard stories of people playing the game finding dead bodies and people being lured in to pokestops by robbers and pedophiles. Sounds like my kind of game!
Yeah I know, I was mostly joking with that part but what about criminals/predators/etc. waiting at pokestops and using lure modules to attract young children (or anyone) to a secluded location? Just want to make sure that everyone can play the game safely without getting murdered.
have you heard about the pokemon go streamer that legit SAW REAL MURDER while playing it? he had to end the streak to talk with the cops. then he lost his job as a uber driver long story short don't play it in your car
