SOTW #3 and #4

Heya guys! With these, I've decided not to include updates simply for the fact that I do not follow updates that do not apply to me too closely. If you're ever interested in what's happened in the past week, there are plenty of other people who post them around!

With that being said, I'm sorry that I missed the SOTW for last week, I was too busy with a few other things to really think about it, so I will be including it here.

SOTW #3: Angels by Crywolf is a beautiful song that doesn't get enough love in my opinion. It's outshined by a lot of other songs on the same EP, and that's understandable when it has to compete with songs like "Whisper" and "Eyes Half Closed" but I still absolutely love it, and I hope you all do too!

SOTW #4: I'm giving the 4th SOTW to Cliff's Edge by Hayley Kiyoko mainly because of a lovely, lovely conversation that arose from this song with chantelle: . (': Aside from that, it's a pretty good song, despite not being something I listen to all of the time.

Resigned from Recruitment

So, yeah, by the title of this post I think it's pretty obvious what this is about. Yes, as of the 20th of December, 2017 I have taken my leave from the Recruitment team. I'd like to stress that I had no issues with anybody on the team, or the team itself. Everybody on the team is amazing and so hard working, but unfortunately I just could not see myself working to the same standard a lot of the time. Admittedly, it was a bad time, but I'm not going to blame that. When it really came down to it, my lack of motivation was the reason for my downfall on the team. Even when I was first accepted, I was told that for the majority of my time on the team I'd be doing app comments, which is fine and I completely understand that, but after 2+ months of doing them, it just became rather boring due to so many applications having the same themes. Don't get me wrong, just because something is "generic" doesn't automatically make it an invalid point, it's simply uninspiring to read.

So now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to thank each and every member of Recruitment for making it such a lovely experience. Every one that I met on the team was amazing and so supportive, and overall it's such a loving environment which I am pretty sad to leave, but alas, I don't want to be a burden.

So yeah, that about sums it up. Shoutout to these guys for putting up with me in TS as everything went down: JJCunningCreeper Invaderr coralines danthecandy . That was pretty cool of you all. \o/

As a final note to those who want to become recruiters, go for it. It's honestly such an amazing team, and just because it wasn't necessarily the right team for me, I'm sure it can be for you. Everything comes down to what you make of it really, and I can wholeheartedly say that Recruitment isn't difficult to make wonderful. In the first 2months, I absolutely loved it, but that swiftly dwindled, and that's where it fell apart for me. Don't let this discourage you though, and I can't wait to see what other worthy applicants get the position in the future. I wish you all good luck! <3

The end of this chapter has ended, but a new one begins. I honestly can't wait to begin working with AussieFighter and NubDraco as my mod monitors for the next couple of months, I know they'll both be amazing!

SOTW #2

2nd week and I'm already late, woops.

Heya everyone! Not much has really happened in the past week! As I've already stated in my previous post, we have a new Australian Mod coord member, Aussiefighter! Additionally, HuskieALS, islendingurinn and Squirrelflight05 have all been promoted to full recruiters, and xUmbreon and Fuzzyjunior have become moderators! Congratulations to all of you!

For the SOTW this week, I've chosen Reassurance by Duumu featuring Slyleaf. This song is super chill and overall is really relaxing. It's awesome to see a newer artist like Duumu getting a lot of love, but I definitely think he deserves more. If you're interested in a more melodic artist I'd urge you to checkout this song, as well as his other songs.
