That feeling when something awesome happens

One essay, some test corrections, and 3 pages of homework later, I'm finally finished with all of the work that I have to do tonight. Those three pages were all from my first period class, which was a lot for one night. I argued with my mom until she let me go to school before a college tour on Friday, and I'm glad I was able to. I would have been doing 7 pages of work and a reading tonight if I hadn't gone to first class and been dismissed in second period on Friday, which would have been a pain to try to do tonight. I unfortunately missed an essay and I wanted it done tonight, since missing a day of school on my own (not a holiday, snow day, etc.) throws me off for a while even without the make-up work. I'm happy that all of the work is done now, though.

I'm sure I butchered the bbcode in multiple places on that one year post, but ngl I don't feel like fixing it so oh well :^)

As of today, I've been on the staff team for an entire year.

It feels like it’s only been a couple of months since I was accepted, but the year flew by so quickly. I’m honestly very grateful for having the chance to be a staff member, and I can’t wait to continue that. I’m looking forward to being on the staff team for hopefully a lot longer, and I’ll definitely be trying to improve and maybe considering going for a team or at least a subteam in the near future. I’m the only staff member left in my batch of 7, and I’m planning on keeping it up for a long time.
anthony : I know we unfortunately don’t talk much anymore due to the fact that we were both inactive at points and didn’t and still haven’t had much of a chance to. We’ve been friends since before I even became a Trainee, and I want to thank you for all the fun times and calls we’ve had over the past year (and about 6 weeks). I truly do appreciate our friendship, especially since you were one of the first and longest-lasting friendships I’ve had on the server. I hope we’ll be able to play more in the near future, since I really miss you.
TANDOKU : GodOfDishes. We don’t talk much, but you were one of the first, if not the first, real friends I made on here. You’ve always been an extremely chill person, and I really like that about you.
Look_Dan : I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. You were an awesome TMA and still are an amazing friend. You’re the most trustworthy friend I have on here, and I honestly appreciate it more than I mention it. I’m glad that we’ve been able to become good friends over the past year.
anki : I’ve also known you for a long time. You make a pun out of my name about every time we talk, but you’re a great friend despite that. You’re still a nub though.
Hammie : You’re honestly an awesome friend, and you’re probably the one I play games with the most. I haven’t been able to actually talk in a call as we’re playing in a while, but I love talking to you (and being carried in cw tbh).
xSlowWifi : We’ve had a lot of fun playing Skywars together, and we’ve had some crazy conversations (mostly when it’s late for me and I’m tired and start blurting out random things). You’ve been a great friend, but you’re still bad.
EwMikey : Ew, Mikey. You’re very mature and have an awesome sense of humor, which is why I love talking to and playing with you. I haven’t known you for as long as I’ve known some people, but I feel like we became good friends pretty quickly.
Junie ❥ {Inactive Nub} : You’re honestly an extremely caring and nice person, and I’m so glad that we were batchies. It’s crazy that we’ve known each other for a year now, and I wish you were still a staff member with me. I roast you and joke around with you a lot, but in all seriousness I enjoy playing with you and talking to you.
xannderr ⋆ : Another batchie. I love to joke around with you, but I also like our other conversations a lot. You’ve been a great friend since when we first became staff, and I’m happy that I met you. It would have been nice if you were still a “mODDIE” though.

Just for the heck of it, I’ll post a few fun facts that I find kind of interesting:
Exactly one week from now is the mark of 4 years since I started playing both Minecraft PC and Mineplex. I haven’t continuously played Mineplex over those 4 years, but that’s when I started here. I’ve been playing Minecraft in general consistently since then, so it’s been a while that I’ve been on this game.
Exactly three months ago, October 20th, was the day I quit my job. It was taking up a ton of my time and making me pretty miserable, so I left it and took up two new ones. These two both average out to more per hour than the last one did and take up a lot less time, which allows me to spend more time on school work and on Mineplex.
I was accepted as a Trainee on my second application, and I was given an interview on the first application as well as obviously the second application (the one that got me accepted). I was denied after the first interview because I went inactive soon after it, and I actually received that denial message on September 12th of 2016, exactly one week before my birthday.
I’m sure there are a couple of other dates that have a relation to today, but for the sake of getting this post out before 12AM when it’s not actually my one year anymore, I’m not gonna sit here and think about it for an hour.

TL;DR: I’ve been staff for a year now. Ty to all the mentors/monitors, batchies and friends I’ve had. Also added some weird and probably unnecessary facts at the bottom just bc I felt like it.

TRYNA LIKE UR POSTS BUT U DELETE EM

I went to Boston today, and I was there for a few hours. We were leaving at around 3PM and the traffic was already getting bad, so I don’t want to imagine what it’s like at rush hour, especially since it’s a Friday night. I went with my mom, and she wouldn’t let me drive until we got out of the city because I’m “not aggressive enough” on the road. I’m one of the most aggressive drivers I know, but she doesn’t think I am since I behave when she’s in the car with me. I have to admit that I actually really like it there, despite all of the traffic and other aggressive drivers. I guess that’s just how I roll.

It’s insane to think that in two days I will have been on the staff team for an entire year (accepted on Jan. 20th of 2017).

Tfw you burst out laughing hysterically at nearly 1AM while your mom is awake in the room next to you.

There are some days where I’ll get into these moods where I want everything clean, completed, and organized. Today was one of those days, so I literally spent from 10:30 in the morning to 9:15 at night cleaning (with a couple of “breaks” to go to the store to buy cleaning supplies, to get food, and to go to the bank to get rid of change that was becoming messy). If I had time, I would have done my homework and any school work that I have in my possession that’s due over the next few weeks. I’ll have days where I have this same urge but don’t actually follow through with it, but today was one of the ones where I took it far enough to deep clean and organize anything that’s mine (my closet, my room, my car, my college papers, my desk, the headboard on my bed, etc.). I’m not sure whether I like it or not, but now I have a clean car, organized papers, and room that’s mostly clean (because I didn’t have time to finish it) (:

Sometimes I don’t understand how I manage to pull things off. This morning it was still barely below freezing, and due to the snow that we got last night on top of the snow from Thursday and the water on the ground, there was a huge risk of black ice. I overslept by an hour this morning (well, technically 59 minutes, literally), and I woke up 21 minutes before I was supposed to be at school, in class. I’m lucky that someone was kind enough to wake me up, since there’s no way I would have woken up in time otherwise (though I wish she had woken me up at least a few minutes before she did, haha). So here I am rolling out of bed when I should have left for school already, since I wanted to leave 4 minutes or more before I even woke up to avoid rushing and risking sliding. I put myself together and was out the door in 7 minutes, and I somehow managed to make it to school on time without any excessive speeding. I’m honestly still surprised that I did that, since I can wake up on time and still be late. I’m pretty sure I’ve woken up a couple of minutes later before, but I found this time to be insane due to the black ice and snow in my way.
