RL hubby and I note the 'typical' wife-husband 'joke' of 'haha he's so stupid' or 'haha she's such a b---' and we'll turn off comedians or TV shows, etc, that go on in that vein.
It's corrosive.
It continues the idea that it's normal in society.
It's training. It holds up the picture 'This is what it's like. This is what you can expect.'
Do better. Be better. Choose wisely, treat kindly. ♥♥♥♥♥
semi related but I'd look at a mum subreddit sometimes and the sheer amount of "im exhausted because my husband wont help with the kids/house stuff and has disproportionately more leisure time" makes me fuckn jaded. Like it's just 'how it is' and part of the package and you can't possibly expect better.
so yeah bring on the positive het ships n shit, relationship conflict/flaws in writing doesn't have to be "haha they dont respect eachother wimmen/menz amirite"
*love!
Yes! The attack cliche' is old and formulaic! Find something new! I love comedians that can make us laugh without pulling others/relationships down!
That's No Moon... part II...
After a lovely evening at Spirit's Rest, I was alternating between levelling the pub build of Zelda, Sam's mom, and popping into Szerdi's party on Yavin (as Sam). Multiple jedi ladies persuaded me to switch to pub; as soon as I did I was whisked away for some SH tours; a mere sampling of the 8 fully unlocked and decorated SHs Neesh'a has.
I now have a key so I can show you the hotel/lounge that had That Thing as its Party Globe...
yeah dont ever give out information to someone who called YOU. say no and hang up, then call the bank's official number posted online and ask whats up. christ.
Untitled Goose Game is out now! It's a lovely morning in the village and you are a horrible goose. Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village.
It is happening; a Changeling Freehold, located between the city and the Rez, at crossroads & intersection of ley lines, becomes a Place Where Dreams Are Made...
"He smells like death." --my RL hubby, about our friend who's got cancer, who's been a lot like a dad for us, in terms of being a source of life smarts and perspective. Maybe more like an uncle, without the day-to-day "I gotta guide and ride this kid 24/7" A real New Yorker. Little rough around the edges, but super personable.
Ah man.
People. Tell your people you love them. In the big, Universal, everything-is-connected kind of way they *probably* know...but tell them. Text 'em, whatever, even if it's "This is probably goofy but I want you to know that I love you. Here's a picture of a potato."
'Cause things happen. Trucks flip, bridges collapse, people go to bed with 'heartburn' but it was a heart attack.
DON'T WAIT!
