Could someone explain why it's only classified as terrorism if someone claiming to be a Muslim does it? Nobody called the Sandy Hook school shooting or the Boston Bombing terrorism, but stick the word "Islam" in it and it instantly becomes so, like this or the California shooting?
The shooting in itself is completely horrible and should never have happened, but those who perpetrated it "in the name of God" were doing something that God explicitly forbids. Nowhere in the Quran does it say to kill anybody, but rather prohibits such things
1) Its considered a terrorist attack because the shooter called 911 and pledged his support to ISIS, then ISIS took responsibility for the shooting. I think that is enough to consider it a terrorist attack.
2) We could go back in forth about what the Quran says for hours, and thats mainly because their are different branches of Islam that believe different things. However, their are several passages just like this one throughout the Quran:
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
While the majority of muslims practice islam peacefully, there are extremists like ISIS and Al Qaeda that follow the Quran word for word, and believe it is their mission to destroy all non believers.
1) A terrorist attack does not have to be from a member of ISIS or be a certain religion. Mainstream media just shoves down our throats that all Muslims are terrorists, and that a prerequisite of being a terrorist is to be Muslim. As I hope you know that isn't true. The Sandy Hook shooting, batman movie shooting, and all the other ones are terror attacks as well.
This isn't just a terrorist attack. It's a hate crime against Latino LGBT+ community. Shooting up a mostly Latino gay bar during pride & immigrant heritage month is pretty homophobic and xenophobic. The more we learn about Mateen - his alleged visits to Pulse, his alleged gay dating profile - the more this becomes a crime of homophobia.
Enicus The Quran I quote says "Eliminate all infidels", an infidel is any person that isn't part of a said religion. So the Quran basically says to convert as many people to Islam as they can and to destroy the ones they can't.
I'm not arguing about what the Quran says. I'm saying a terrorist does not have to be Muslim and just because a person is Muslim does not mean they are a terrorist.
Sparticles , you're taking that quote completely out of context and have misinterpreted it altogether. The "infidels" mentioned in that quote are the Quraysh (the tribe that waged war against the Muslims in the Battles of Badr and Uhud), who sought to eliminate the limited number of Muslims at the time altogether.
I found it really useful for taking out campers in Sky bases and on a ship thing on one map. Also good if your knocked into water, easier to get out if the guy is trying to knock you back in.
I completely agree, but thats the classic issue of censorship which has been going on for months now, and won't ever change. I'm just glad they banned that pedo off the server.

Here's the issue: if a parent whose reading up on Mineplex happens to see the doc, they are never gonna let their kid play on Mineplex again bc they think MP has pedos working for them. Thats why Mineplex should sue Brad for defamation, though the legal fees might not make it worth it.
I'm not sure suing someone who can hack, DDoS, DOX, and who had access to the Mineplex console, plugins, and documents is a good idea.
But that's just my 2 cents.
Suing someone over defamation wouldn't succeed in court.
Mineplex's evidence rests on screenshots of Brad's actions, which, as was debated among Brutus and the LT team, could have been faked.
That evidence would never hold up in court, and I don't see suing someone as cost effective or feasible, seeing as how I'm not even sure Chiss and Brad live in the same country.
Back on to the topic of brad, I looked at his LinkedIn and found out that the head Systems Administrator at Mineplex named Peter and Bobby the CEO left him a positive recommendation on his LinkedIn. Why?????
Protesting in Lobby 1 is NOT going to help anything.
This is not drama. This is a serious issue, that will only be fixed by logical wall posts and a gentle pressure on the Mineplex leadership to do the right thing.

They're banning people for talking about the drama? People (especially the girl) should get an apology that Mineplex hired someone like that, not banned for bringing the topic up. Ridiculous.
Judging by her wall posts, the drama seems to be over-done now (with him being demoted). Why do people still talk about it? The dev's demoted, she probably even got an apology (since she apparently talked to Chiss) so what's left?

Did he commit a crime against Mineplex? The only person that could press charges it the Charlene. What you just said is basically a guy working at Mcdonalds does this to a woman. According to you Mcdonalds is supposed to press charges against the employee.
And I would not at all be surprised if Brad broke an item in a contract he signed with Mineplex when he was hired, I mean i would at least thing he would have to sign off on something like the communication policy, which leaves him legally liable.

The issue is not resolved. I used to really get involved with drama, and i try to withdraw myself now, but the fact of the matter is this ex-dev is still in contact with the poor girl because he was not banned off the server. Mineplex has not in fact resolved the situation.
Chiss and Jarvis, despite popular belief, are not complete tyrants who want to ban every single person off enjin.
However, Chiss did make a big mistake by not banning Brad and as I said below I think Mineplex does have a serious ethics issue; that they think its more important that drama is not created instead of protecting a girl from a pedo.
That being said, everyone who wants to talk about this issue, just stick to the facts and at least try to be a little mature about this.
