Well as you may have heard at TAP… I’ve been promoted to Trainee Management as a US mentor!! I am filled with so many emotions right now, it’s unreal! After being a TMA for 10 months and 23 days, it really does feel good to have finally achieved what I’ve been working towards! I wanted to thank Dean for giving me this incredible opportunity, I am soooooo so excited for what the future holds. I am also super excited to announce that the one and only, FluffyUnicorn_, will be assisting me!

Joining Trainee Management has been a dream of mine since the day I became a trainee. During my time as a TMA, I have had the pleasure to work with 3 amazing mentors who I can gladly call good friends of mine. I have learned so much from all of them and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.

As for my goals and current teams, not much is going to change. Seeing as I’m a Sr. Mod now, I will be a member of the Reports Patrol Assistance team and I will remain as a member of TSS. There are a few teams within Trainee Management which I am interested in and that I do hope to join some time. Some of those teams include the Documents team, the Trials team and maybe even Recruitment but that would be later, mentoring is my primary focus as of right now. As far as any other sub teams go though, there isn’t really anything I plan on applying for, though that may change.

And now, here is the huge list of thank yous. If your name doesn’t appear here, I do apologize.

Dean - I once again, cannot thank you enough for providing me with this opportunity! I wanted to personally thank you for always being there for me and always listening to the different ideas I have. You really made me feel welcome on the team and for that, I am really appreciative.

HuskieALS - Huskie, you have played a HUGE part in my experience as a staff member. Not only were so you encouraging and kind to me when I was a trainee, but along every step of the way in my staff journey. You are always there to listen to me when I have a concern and you are always there to just talk, even when I have the most random things on my mind. You are one of the people who truly inspired me to apply for TMA and you are a role model to all our mentees too. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and I look forward to working alongside you even more in the future!

Corgee and Whif - I cannot even thank the 2 of you enough for everything you did for me as a trainee and after. You guys were essentially the first 2 people I met on the staff team and you were the ones who were there to provide me with the best experience possible. The warm and caring but really fun environment you guys provided me with is something I hope to provide for all of my mentees to come!

Geothermal - Geo!! You played a huge part in my experience here! You are essentially the reason I even became a TMA in the first place. You were always there to provide criticism for me to help me become the best TMA possible and getting to assist you was a great experience, I’m glad that we got to become closer as a result.

Dulciloquy/GarrettTheFaux - The 2 of you have played a huge role in my performance as a staff member. You have always been there to help me improve in the areas where I was lacking and you always gave me things to work for to perform to the best of my abilities. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me while I was your monitee. Mod Coord is still bad though and Trainee Management is good. :>

Dogester - LUKE!! You have always been so supportive of me, even before I became a staff member. You were one of the first people who told me they believed I could become a staff member in the first place and that gave me so much confidence to reapply for trainee in the first place. I always love the conversations we have and we seriously need to have them more. Ily <3

Cabob - You silly goose! You know how I feel about ya ;) Thank you for being a great teammate in SSM2 but more importantly, an even better irl friend. I’m so glad that we get to hang out together even if it’s in the car on Fridays after class. You have always been supportive and I like that we can have a good laugh all the time.

FluffyUnicorn_ - MARY!!!!! I still remember the day when you were promoted to mod and when I asked you which teams you were interested in, you said TMA. I also remember the day you were promoted to TMA! I was so excited for you because your excellent personality was something that would be great for the team. Now I am so excited that we officially get to be a team together! I look forward to what the future holds!! :d

Twist - Alycia, you have become such a good friend of mine and I’m so glad that we get to chat on a daily basis. I like the fact that I can spam cat pictures to someone without being judged for it and that I can speak to you about my issues. You can always make me laugh and it’s something I’m really grateful for.

SuperiorPhoenix - Chase! You have always been such an incredible, supportive friend. We started talking way before I became a trainee and I must say, seeing the way you were succeeding as a staff members is what inspired me to apply as well. It’s been awesome having you as my MCA for the last several months and I truly hope to see you on Mod Coord in the near future. :)

All my former mentees - You guys are all amazing. Getting to work with each and every one of you has been an experience to remember. I’m so glad I got to know all of you even if I wasn’t your TMA for a long time. You all taught me really important things and it has really allowed me to grow as not only a TMA, but a person.

Other people in no particular order - xAirr, XtremeLucas543, Ygritte, Kanebridge, SavGhost, FriMat98, DuubleFault, MotherOfPandas, Firestar891, Diar, all of Trainee Management.

I look forward to what the future has to offer me as a part of Trainee Management. I look forward to having so many more incredible experiences with future mentees and members of the team! Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, I really couldn’t have done it without you. :)

Hey guys! Basically, a friend that I have who I’ve been friends with since kindergarten moved to Israel when we were in grade 4 and he comes back to Canada every once in awhile to visit. He moved there because his dad's work involves disaster relief. Anyways, back in June, he came back to where I live (where he used to live too) and I got to see him and his family for the first time in around 6 years, we had kept in contact over the last 9.5 years though. Anyways, when they were visiting, we had quite a good chat over coffee and they were telling me how I should really go visit them. With that being said, I am going to be travelling there to visit them. xD I leave in exactly a week from now and I’ll be back late on January 13th. I have flown without my parents several times but this’ll be my first time flying alone so that should be interesting. xD I’m just going to play it safe and be at the airport extra early should Air Canada decide to pull a fast one on me like they’ve done several times in the past - cancelling our flight at the last possible minute without any notification and throwing us on an earlier one… I have a connecting flight both ways but all I care about is making it to Tel Aviv on time. xD On my flight home, I only have a 1-hour connection and I'm on the last flight out to where I live so we'll have to see how that goes. xD

When I’m there though, I will be pretty much completely inactive. We are going to be doing a lot of sightseeing in the Tel Aviv area and possibly Haifa. If you need to message me, it’ll most likely take a really long time for me to reply and I may only get the chance to reply once I’m back. I’ll have my laptop with me for entertainment on the 13-hour flight, uploading pictures and dealing with anything urgent. The only other use of technology will be when I’m on my phone, taking millions of pictures. xD

I am very excited to have this opportunity though, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do but never really got to do. Seeing as my friend is going to be moving back to Canada next year for university, I figured this would be my last chance to do it. As always though, I’ll be sure to post pictures when I return. ;) If you have any questions, just send me a message. :)

Only 1 exam left, thankfully. The first 2 went well. For yesterday's, I didn't show up prepared and forgot a ruler so I used my debit card instead. xD I did a total of 14.5 hours of studying for today's exam and it was worth it I'd say, I found it quite easy. I breezed through the 120 multiple choice questions in around 30 minutes because I knew the answers to the questions as soon as I read through them. I'm expecting tomorrow's exam to be the hardest one though, that prof tends to make her tests harder and she is a tad harsh when marking so hopefully it goes well. I only need 18% to pass the course but I wanna do well.

Also, Wanderer is hosting an art giveaway! You should enter because lets get real here, who doesn't want art he created? xD

Have a good night! :)

I got to see 2 hockey games this week which was pretty exciting! The first one was on Wednesday with my sister and 6 other friends.

And then yesterday I went to the winter classic which was celebrating 100 years of NHL hockey so it was a pretty special occasion. It did get cold after awhile as it was -26 degrees but still a great experience!

would be for Atlanta if we didn't lose two hockey teams :)
Ah, I don't dislike Nashville tbh. And I'm kind of split in the middle, my dad's side of the family cheers for Montreal and a lot of my mom's family cheers for Montreal and lives there but there are lots of Sens fans in my family too so I just cheer for both xD

Hey guys! Just wanted to say that I'm going to be inactive from December 16th to December 20th. The reason being is that I'm going to be in exams and I have a lot of plans this weekend. I'm not the kind of person who can study far in advance, I pretty much have to write down all the notes from the course the night before the exam for me to remember everything so Monday-Wednesday should be fun. xD One nice thing is that I have somewhat of a photographic memory so when I right down all the notes, I can sometimes remember exactly what my sheet looks like so I can remember word for word some of the things I wrote down. If you have any questions when I'm away though, you can message me although you can expect delayed responses.

I should be fairly active after that though, I am getting laid off on Sunday. I knew this would happen though, at my job we get laid off for the winter and start back up in March or April depending on what's going on. I'll have a fairly relaxed 1-month break which is nice. :)

I think the badminton teacher got sick of people writing that the progress evaluations were their least favourite part of the course in the course evaluations. XD

04a16196.jpg

Today was my last day of classes, it was pretty fun. We finished a badminton tournament, I made it to the finals which surprised me as I had to pull a clutch 21-19 win in the semis but I lost 21-15 in the finals (which didn't surprise me xD).

We also got our Christmas tree and the smell of the real tree is lovely although my sinuses aren't loving it as much. XD I also have to go get an ultrasound to follow up on my spleen issues tomorrow morning and it'll be kind of rough because we're supposed to have our first big snowfall of the year so it's gonna be super slow driving as it's in rush hour too. Have a good evening! :)

Where I actually spent most of my money:

Why am I like this? xD

Today was pretty fun though, my class lasted a whole 13 minutes!!!1!!11! I decided afterwards that I'd get some Christmas shopping done and of course, a burrito that weighs like 4 pounds. I also got some sightseeing in. ;)

Time is going by so quickly. I feel like I started the semester 3 days ago but I'm almost all finished. I only have 1 full week left after this week and even then, it's not really a full week because I only have 1 class on Tuesdays and Fridays and the prof decided to cancel them because he was finished teaching what he wanted to teach so that's nice. After next week, I have a full week off, then 3 days of exams and then my 1-month Christmas break. It'll be Christmas before we know it!

I'll also figure something out for a Christmas skin. I'll only put one on in December xD I have already been living in a Christmas environment though, I have a sister who likes to start playing Christmas music in September so... yeahhhh.

Have a good night! :)

Hey guys! I just wanted to post a few pictures from the weekend. I had attended the Grey Cup (which is basically the Canadian Super Bowl). It was really neat, I don't really go to football games as I'm more of a hockey person but it was a cool experience nonetheless. It was miserable at first as it was snowing like crazy and the wind was cold but as the snow slowed down and the game got more exciting, I found it more enjoyable. I also thought it was neat how Shania Twain got brought onto the field via dog sled, it was rather fitting given the weather we were experiencing.

Happy Friday! I am not necessarily looking forward to the weekend as I have to work from 2pm to 1am tomorrow but I am going to the Grey Cup (Canadian NFL finals) on Sunday which is exciting! Today was good too, I got to experience 2 of my favourite things in life, a good cappuccino and a nice sunset. ;)
