I would just like to remind everyone that Community Newsletter Team applications are open.
CoNL is an unofficial community-led team that work together to produce a monthly newsletter based on various things within the network. Being a part of a community team is such a great opportunity to meet new people, develop your skills and become more involved in the community. We currently have around 30 members and we're looking for more C: Even if you don't enjoy writing articles, then we have other teams such as art and design.
My role on the team is managing Member Management which consists of recruitment and mentoring.
You can view the general thread here The thread also features more in-depth information and links on the team.
I was in it for a bit but ran out of time. I would apply again in the future but right now I have finals and can't do much! I wish you all the best with it though <3
I'm happy to announce that the Community Newsletter Team has now relaunched. After some changes such as; different teams, new roles, new methods in order to increase efficiency etc. we have decided to open up applications again C:
You can view the forum post here which has all the relevant information. I hope to see some of you all applying.
We made a new CoNL forums account which can be found here Community Newsletter Also, I do not know the exact date when our newsletter will be released as we still need to discuss this and hopefully new members should be joining us!
Within community assistance, I’m part of a project where we gather feedback on recent network updates. This feedback gets forwarded to the leadership team. I know that a lot of people want more places for them to contribute their feedback, so this is clearly a great place for you to do so.
I’m looking for anyone's feedback on this recent update. Feel free to discuss your opinions on the update below or message me.
The thread for the recent update can be found here
Okay, I definitely need to start posting on my wall more.
I haven't been extremely active for the past few days due to some internet issues (my most favourite thing ever!!) My internet is still extremely slow, but I'd rather have slow internet than no internet.
It's great to see that there is a new UHC update as I know that it's a game that a lot of people have been wanting an update for. If you have any feedback that you'd like to share with me then that would be really nice to hear about and discuss.
Also, TAP hype woo. Good luck to those who have applied!
Having been a staff member for almost 4 months now. I can definitely say that the one thing it has helped me improve on the most is my communication skills.
I have always been a quiet person who has found it difficult to make friends, develop my confidence and just generally communicate well. One of the things I found the most difficult to adapt to when I became a trainee was how much communication is involved. Up until that point I never really had to talk to so many people on a daily basis. Doing what I do has pushed me in an environment where I feel comfortable.
Now I feel so much more confident when talking to people and it’s crazy to think about how much being a staff member has helped. You may not think that this doesn't help you in real life, but the transferable skills you gain are so valuable. For years, I've been trying to find the right opportunity and place to improve my communication skills. I now have that perfect place. For the first time ever I genuinely enjoy talking to people instead of being terrified. After struggling with this for such a long time, it's a relief to finally reach a point where I feel happy with it.
Sometimes things can take longer than you expect, but once you reach that point it will be so worthwhile. It’s just about finding the right opportunity and pushing yourself to get to that opportunity in the first place.
A short survey has been created in order to gather some feedback on the Community Newsletter. It would be really great to gather some in-depth feedback which will help us to improve future editions. Personally, I'm aware of potential issues, but it's highly important for us to consider all opinions and it will highlight issues that haven't been thought of. Yes, there are quite a few questions, but all feedback is appreciated and it will help a lot.
Woke up at 6am for work this morning to find messages from people congratulating me on Community Assistance. Seeing as though I listened to TAP last night and there were no CoA announcements, I was a pretty bit confused. Turns out that they forgot to announce it and I’m now a part of the CoA team.
I can’t even remember when I made it my goal to join Community Assistance, as ever since I joined the server I’ve always enjoyed the community side of things. The other day I actually had an extremely interesting discussion in Lobby 1 and I’ve had many other instances of this. Some players were discussing how they were unhappy with various issues. After asking why this was and how this could be improved, it led to multiple players in the lobby adding their opinion and actively thinking of ways to improve the issues they raised. Having discussions like this on all Mineplex platforms is so interesting and allows you to really consider everyone's opinions. Simple situations like this happen everyday and are what make me love the Mineplex community so much. The fact that I can now have an even bigger say and get to work on various projects to benefit the community is super exciting.
Also, I reached 4,000 profile views. Wow so famous.
Well… I have finally achieved one of my goals here on Mineplex. 4 months ago I submitted my accepted trainee app and I have now been promoted to mod omg. I never thought that this would ever happen and I’m so happy right now ahh. On the first day of being a trainee, I remember finding it quite overwhelming and being scared to punish a player. Thinking about how much I have improved is a great feeling. I set myself a goal of achieving 90% on my EOT and I actually manged to get 90% which I’m super happy with. Hard work and determination pays off. Determination played a bit role in my trial as I never expected to have to put my trial on hold, leading to it lasting a lot longer than expected. I was beginning to feel like this day would never happen and finally, here we are. Now I'm excited to see what I can achieve as a mod. intox ☮ Thank you for being such a great friend. Somehow you asking me a question in lobby 1 led to us being friends. I live for our skype chats and how random they are which always makes my day. You’re always there for me and I don’t think I could’ve made it through my trial without you, from you telling me that I could do it to general motivation. I can't write amazing well-written wall posts like you, but I'm so glad that we're friends and you're a true egg.
Thanks to my mentor and TMA metalwolf111 and TobiGoro . You both helped me a lot and my trial wouldn't have been the same without you both.
Thanks to all of the friends who I made throughout my trial. I have met so many supportive people which makes me so happy
This post is probably really badly written, but I'm tried ahaha
