What amazes me is that this is the same lot that thinks you can fight terrorism with teddy bears, crayons and candle vigils. Put on your pussy hat and start WWIII with Russia.

Sadiq Khan has said he believes the threat of terror attacks are "part and parcel of living in a big city" and encouraged Londoners to be vigilant to combat dangers.
And a little addendum, back in 2007. LOTRO was my first MMO and for Christmas I got life subscription as a gift. I haven't logged in 5 years or but few days back I found the login info while sorting out some old files. To make a long story short, my life sub is still valid and I have about $300 worth of in game currency. It was REALLY a nice surprise
In addition, character revamp is in works, as well as Mordor expansion and new race.
Heck, might as well poke my nose into ruins of Osgiliath.
*nods* Aye, I'm pretty much a clone of yourself in LOTRO. LOL...for me, I just can't bring myself to loggin' back into it in that...that was ALL I played for 5 years and I find myself just even in patching it...that I see that screen and I'm...burnt out.
Totally a mental thing, but yeah. Such a friggn' amazing game!
The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online have been acquired by Standing Stone Games, a newly-formed independent game studio made up of the same groups that have been working on LOTRO and DDO for years.
My second test run lasted roughly 2.5 hours - 1 run circles around 1 zone picking all the resource nodes (ore, silk, herbs, runes) and opening all the containers (barrels, crates, sacks, jugs, jars, locked chests), also pillaged all the containers in 2 settlements and 3 dungeons, and killed about 100 or so mobs.
And that on master crafter with all crafting skills capped at 50.
Here's the rub, the only blueprint came from a barrel in the Wayrest inn (player hub).
The collected mats were enoguh to craft about 6 "rough" items (read: ugly, poor quality, beggar-style pieces), and not enoguh even to craft 1 item from found furnishing blueprint (Breton four post bed).
And here's the best part, regular materials from harvesting nodes are useless and RNG determines if furnishing crafting mats will be found in the node as an addition.
What a deal, for 5.5 hours of gameplay I got enoguh mats to craft 8 rusty knives.
But fear not. Luckily ESO just released a new housing location for a low, low price of $100! And as luck would have it you can buy perfect decorative pack for just $30!
As I said before, I'm not that much in love with Elder Scrolls.
Bioware has posted some clarification regarding the Unstable Arbiter's Direct Sale on the cartel market. Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber for Direct Sale | 03.07.2017, 10:50 AM Hey folks, Later today we are going to be adding the first ever Platinum rarity i
So, the rumour has it that ESO hired SW:TOR developers who worked on Cartel Market for their own Crown Market.
SW:TOR downward spiral also started with housing being introduced and then used as a catalyst for microtransactions.
I have a feeling ESO is hading the same way. Case in point, I have a fully maxed Night Blade so I ran a little test. For 3 hours I was running the content to see how much materials / decorations / crafting plans I could get for housing.
At 3 locations I lockpicked about a dozen chests, cleanded out about 20 buildings, pickpocketed about 60 and killed about 40 NPC. Not counting unrelated crafting mats I got about 350 items.
From the total exactly 3 were crafting mats used in furnishing, 1 decoration and 1 crafting plan.
OR
I can pony up and buy decoration packages for roughly $5 per pop or a fully decorated house for as low as $35, with biggest house decorated is about $150. Yes, you can buy undecorated houses for ingame gold, and lots of it, and then grind your eyes out with decorations.
You don't get furniture materials by killing NPCs and looting chests. Of course you will not get materials if you're looking in a completely wrong place. Go to Craglorn (Notice, Non-DLC area) and pick resources for an hour. I promise you'll get WAY more than 3 housing materials. Yesterday I farmed for 1,5 hour myself - I got 45 hearthwood, and even more resin/regulus. Can easily make many furnitures out of that.
Hence me going after "materials / decorations / crafting plans", maybe I should have emphasised "anything related to housing". It's not just the the mats I was after
Alright. But yeah, most things you still can't get in crownstore. In fact, ESO is the only MMO where you've less options as a crown buyer than a gold buyer. Sure, some furnitures/houses are there because some people simply cannot afford the prices (Roleplayers often are broke as f) but for normal pve'rs those prices are nothing. You still can't get recipes from crownstore, only items. And you can only buy about 1/4 of all furnitures available from crownstore, the rest you only get through in game farming. So I wouldn't be too worried.

I would say that's precisely it, they want Star Wars addicts that would pay for anything with its logo on it and the rest can take a hike. Plus remember the almighty metrics and its defining idea - people that spend more time in the game are more likely to buy something.
