I start my new school tomorrow. Its the first time I've been in a non religious co-gender school since graduating from the 8th grade. Wish me luck lads and lasses.

Non-religious/Not that religious schools are a lot less stressful. When I switched from a heavily Baptist school to one that could give a very little shit, I found it a lot easier. (The second school was actually rated higher than the other one)

I've been in public education my whole life and I'm in a school where the population is the size of a small town. So I can say for certain that you'll have quite the experience coming from religious school.

Some lyrics can simply effortlessly move you to tears

Frequency-Starset:
I was scanning through the skies
and missed the static in your eyes
something blocking your reception
its distorting our connection
with the distance amplified
was it all just synthesized
and now the silence screams
that you are gone
you've tuned me out
I've lost your frequency

This is the music we need in this day. Its what we lack. Depth.

I remember listening to it in class. I was one of the only kids to realize what she was talking about, and I'm almost kinda glad

Honestly EW is very enjoyable but contending with 140ms of ping can get quite aggravating.

I don't know what I hate more.. a high ping or 1.9 pvp. 8Mz3gg.jpg

Oh, and before someone comments: "But it's 1.8 pvp!": no it isn't. It's just 1.9 pvp without cooldowns. ^
and also with the worst hit detection (:
Isn't that a feature of 1.9?

What happened tithe days where parents beat their entitled, smug sociopaths they call children for constant disrespect and disobedience. These supremely conceited fuckwads and their incorrigible insistence of constantly being accommodated and being in the right is a cancer.

Hello lads and lasses. I'd like to call upon the religious guys over in this wonderful place we call the internet and satisfy my curiosity. Most if not all religions fascinate me so I'd like all of you ladies and gents to describe to me the afterlife assured in your faiths.
12
There are heaven and hell, and the... "qualifications" for both, so to speak, aren't quite as legalistic as some would have you believe.

Heaven is not a place you go for doing good things or being a "good" person. There are a few different things (and I'm simplifying it for the sake of not putting up a (bigger) wall of text):
- Actual belief in God. Of course, this is not a "get-out-of-hell-free card".
- Faith/trust in god and his plans/provisions for you. GENUINE, might I add.
- A relationship with God, as opposed to legalistic obedience.

Hell, on the other hand, is simply where those who don't meet the same standards go.
- Nominal "believers" who make a big public scene about it yet don't practice (or even believe, in some cases) what they "preach".... This is what you'll get from a lot of "charismatic" churches.
- Legalistic people who do good works... but there's no righteous motivation or conviction behind anything they do. It's sort of the spiritual equivalent of only being good because it'll net you something in return (such as salvation).
- People who sin, ask for forgiveness... and continue along the same path anyways. Like I said before, God's forgiveness and Christ's sacrifice is not a "get-out-of-hell-free card". "Oh, this is wrong, but God forgives me and I'm going to heaven anyways...." Yeaaaaaah that's not how it works, bud.
- Your average batch of nonbelievers (atheists, members of other religions, etc.) Now, you might claim that this is harsh, but I'll remind you that getting to heaven is not just a matter of being "good" from your own perspective. It is a matter of faith in God, knowing his word and knowing HIM.
- Syncretics. You can't have more than one god. It doesn't work. Granted, there's a difference between traditions and scriptural law, but you can't have two different gods. There is God/Christ. Nothing else. Another point in the bible itself is breaking down your own idols (such as prioritization of your own entertainment/selfish desires/carnal desires over God).

I could try and go i

On another note: Picking and choosing which bits of the Bible you're going to follow also doesn't work. It's as good as all or nothing.
Also, Christ's sacrifice combined with your own genuine faith in God and relationship with him essentially wipes your record of every infraction from the little things to the major issues absolutely clean.
On the matter of how heaven actually IS? Well... There's some things that are known, and some things are probably beyond our own comprehension. Some of the safer bets are:
- No Sin.
- No Diseases/Injury/Pain/Impediments
- Essentially a much nicer place than this earth.
You judt strengthened my atheism by saying I'm going to hell
It's never too late, man. There's not all that much of a time limit involved, really. Granted, half-assing it right before you die isn't helping your chances, but still.
Don't be bothered
Well, it doesn't exactly make sense for somebody who doesn't even believe in God-given salvation from sin and death to just get a free pass into heaven anyways, now does it? There's some responsibility involved, you know!
Being religious depends on upbringing, not responsibility.
Er, no. There is a responsibility to yourself to building a solid relationship with God, knowing the word of God, and conducting yourself in a biblical manner (although as we are all sinners, nobody's really perfect. Luckily Christ solved that little issue on the cross...). Furthermore, there is the responsibility to raise your children in a biblical manner, teach them the truth of God, and tell others the truth of God.
So you view all non-Christians as irresponsible?
No, but there is more to Christianity than just "upbringing"... not to mention the fact that it being a matter of upbringing kind of flies in the face of anybody who actually does turn to Christianity from another religion or atheism (and yes, that does happen on occasion, even if it isn't that common).
I was taught that there is hell where people who did bad things go (sins) and people who disrepected god. There is also heaven where people that are good and dont have many sins or bad ones go,and people that believe in god or dont believe him but they dont disrespect him. Also i was taught that God loves and forgives all so maybe people dont go to hell. I dont remember its been a long time since i was taught this stuff.

I recall nice arguing with someone about racial diversity prioritization in the workplace and I jokingly responded to a prompt by saying "the only diversity I support is elemental typing of Pokemon in video games"

In any Pokemon team I have in any game I like it when the typings of them (fire, water, grass, etc) are always varied to cover the largest basis possible

Ah, I see. When I played, I just made sure to pick either the ones I liked best, or the most powerful ones.
You do both. You pick really shicking awsome ones that are the right type. xD
