Why do I always have to go to bed right when I'm in the middle of something good?
Ok, I see that some people have started a "wall war", Some people are swearing on their walls, making others upset. Now, I just want to say, that there's no law saying you can't swear, But it doesn't mean that it doesn't upset others. I understand that once you start swearing, it might be a bit difficult to stop. I am personally against swearing, but those who don't like it: Please unfriend someone if you don't like what they're post on their wall, If someone swears too much, i just silently unfriend them, without making a huge fuss about it. Those who swear though, also need to be alert, that children aged as low as 5 can visit your wall, they might not know what a certain word means, and because of that start using it all over the place. If you can, maybe not swear so much, but there IS no law preventing people from swearing. There's not going to be a cop arriving at your door, to take you to jail for swearing. But also keep in mind, that even though there's no law about it, there might still be people who find something offensive. Yes, I've used swear words too when I was younger, but my mom taught me to not use them. Also, keep in mind, that even though your culture doesn't find a particular word offensive, others might. A way to think if a word might not be appropriate:
Will you say it to a stranger on the street?
Will you say it around a 3-year-old child?
Will you say it to your mom?
Will you say it on Autcraft? (or another child-friendly server of your choice)
Will you send that word in an SMS to your best friend?
Would you like it if someone said that word to/about/at you?
Would you need to censor it in anyway to get past any filters?
Things like this, you need to think about, If ANY of these are a "no", then you might need to rethink about what you're going to say.
No offence was intended to anyone, please think of this as a way of me trying to solve these problems. Again, if someone is saying anything offensive to you, just unfriend them, and block if needed. Also, feel free to message or talk to an Adult or Helper (Preferably a Sr please) or an Admin.
