I'd say Enjin's new emojis are completely better than their previous oldschool counterparts if it weren't for the fact that has been completely ruined, destroyed, and overall completely diverged from its majestic previous version.
Saw and handled a three hundred year old document. Was a signed indentured laboring contract handed down throughout the generations of one of our family's colleagues. The thing honestly belongs in a museum.
I have a question for all of you Staff folks out there (both past and present). What is it that made you want to apply to the team to begin with, and if you're already resigned, what had changed so that moderating just didn't interest you anymore?
Quick little disclaimer: I'm not searching for things to write in a Trainee app. I've been on Mineplex for over two years now and have no interest in the position. Plus, I don't think the recruiters would want somebody with six warnings and a brief mute to enforce the rules.
Back in 2014, Mineplex was a well controlled, community rich server and the term "staff corruption" didn't exist... at all.
Being staff was considered a massive achievement, more so than it is today. Being staff on the used to be #1 server on Minecraft was honourable and gave a sense of prestige. So really, part of my motivation to apply was to have power. Most of it was to help the largest server and it's community. and being proud to do so.
The community is lit, and I wanted to give back. I could help out with the forums and reports, which are really fun to process through. Additionally, with staff chats, you almost always have someone to talk to.
I resigned due to time restraints.
