Would be great if a few of you could join to Swiftmine so we can test some new plugins. We need 4 at a minimum, I'll be there!

At this stage it looks like I will be either quitting web design or slowing it right down; as I have quite an exciting project that may happen.

I really want to do right, and do what people on SwiftMine want me to do, but I don't know what to do. There's not a lot of unique ideas I can think of and everything advertisement wise costs so much. I understand you just want "more players" but it's gonna cost me a few thousand dollars to do that, and I can't.

Make it a new Gamemode! Something like 'Skyblock Towny' or something that'll bring players into the game wanting to see what you have to show them

I don't know how you could combine Skyblock and Towny to be honest.
Just towny with amazing custom world generation'd be fun. I'm in the making of a skyworld factions as well
I'm making*
towny is a dead game tbh
ur a dead meme tbh
Who Me? I'm a dead meme?
neth and i was kidding lol
Like Shady said, make custom games that people come to see.

Any suggestions on how to keep SwiftMine fun for everyone?

As a former server owner, here's my advice:

- Owning multiple servers is a lot. If you want to put the most effort and time into a server, it is better to only manage one. That doesn't mean it's impossible to focus on multiple servers, but you will be better off dedicating most of your time to one server.
- Fully develop your server/network before paying for ads or youtubers. That means you should have a fully active and functional staff team, reliable (paid?) developers, multiple gamemodes (depending on what kind of server you run), and lots of updates based on what the community wants.
- Have a unique feature, whether it be something in the server lobby, an addicting gamemode, etc. There are lots of servers with popular games like factions and skyblock, and although you can still run a successful server built around those, it can be more engaging to make your own unique content.
- If you can't afford advertising (paying for popular youtubers can easily cost hundreds), and regardless of whether you want to advertise, increase your server's exposure by posting threads on Minecraftforums or other forums that allow it.

Those are all I can think of right now. I might post some later
"reliable (paid?) developers" no such thing as experienced & reliable unpaid developers :p
Paying developers is just a suggestion and depends on how large the owner's budget is. Money typically speeds up the time it takes to develop, but unpaid developers who are dedicated can produce equally good content in a timely manner :)
Thanks so much Herobot, this was really helpful.
No problem!
