My Thoughts on Mineplex's Rank Removal
So there are rumors going around that Sigils apparently said a rank would be removed, as the team believes five ranks are too many to have around the server. They haven't stated which rank will be removed yet. There have been several discussions on Mineplex, Nasclub, and beyond about this change and I'm here to offer my opinions and suggestions.
First of all, I don't believe Eternal should exist in the way most of us expect it to. We all expect it to be added to the online shop, purchasable for hard currency (real money). I honestly wish that this didn't happen. I don't have a problem so much with adding more ranks, but we don't need more purchasable ranks with very loose and few perks like Eternal and Titan both have.
What should've happened? If Mineplex really wanted a new rank, adding Eternal is fine. And even having few perks is fine. However, paying what will likely be such a large price is just unwarranted. It's not worthy of a rank like that. Therefore, the rank should just be a chance find in Illuminated Chests. And when I say chance, I really mean it. You'd have to open maybe hundreds to find it. Make it rare, hard to find, not easy to buy. I think that would make Illuminated Chests even more valuable, and even give more reason to play online, trying to earn Shards to get more chests. That's a more reasonable way.
However, if I had my way entirely, Eternal wouldn't even exist. The perks could be shifted down to Titan. Actually, no: Titan shouldn't even exist, but we're kinda stuck with it already and I don't want to remove it. More perks must be added to the existing ranks to give them more value. If you add more perks to the lower ranks, more people are likely going to purchase them. That's better than just adding rank on top of rank on top of rank. It's just not right.
I think it's wrong to remove a rank like Mineplex is planning to do. I speculate Hero is going to get the axe, as it is the rank with the fewest owners, as well as the fewest perks. I expect all Hero users to keep their rank; it's just that Hero will no longer be purchasable or obtainable through Mythical Chests. I still think it's silly to do this. I will be shocked if Legend or Ultra is removed though, as I personally don't expect that to happen.
So basically, here's what I wish would happen:
➾ Eternal remains a rank only found through chests.
➾ No other ranks are removed.
➾ All ranks get more perks.
➾ The colors are switched, as described in a post below.
What I think will happen:
➾ Hero will be removed from the store/Mythical Chests.
➾ Eternal's or Trainee's color will not change, unfortunately.
➾ Eternal will be in the store for hard currency.
These are all based off my personal opinion and speculation. Nothing is from staff-only information; it's all from my own head. I'm not revealing anything, so please don't take what I say as fact. This is purely opinion.
Exactly my thoughts. There is a humongous fight over this new rank and the removal of one. Most mods, trainees, and forum tryhqrds support the decision(Obviously) while others are mad at Mineplex for putting another rank and removing another one. I just think instead of trying to earn money in the most ways possible, they need to earn the respect of most of their players first. That's the key to a true business.

My Thoughts on the New Trainee Color
I would like to see Trainee returned to its former color. I think the primary concern I have is for confusion on the forums rather than in-game. While I still believe both are an issue, some parts of the forums render this system confusing. For example, on wall posts, the suffix doesn't show up. Therefore, a yellow name could mean anything from Trainee to Mod or Senior Mod. It adds needless confusion. It's not that I can't get used to the change, but I really think you're adding an extra level of confusion for no reason.
Eternal needs to be switched to a different color. I think a dark gray or even black would look quite sleek, and of course remove the confusion. I actually heard Trainees were getting honest questions about whether they were promoted to Mod simply because of their tag color. Sure things like this will phase out over time, but again: needless confusion.
So I support changing Trainee back to dark cyan (&3), and changing Eternal to either dark gray (& or black (&0).
I was thinking of making a huge thread discussing why Mineplex should bring back the og helper rank and getting people to sign the petition with me lol
