oh yay! i found out how to disable chat and still use commands. now i can play on Eos and not have to see people use ass. guess i will be playing again. but i won't be talking to anyone. oh well. maybe i'll see you on soon

i had chat on for a minute today and someone used fml. staff didn't say anything. again, i recommend saying something in public and not private so everyone knows it was addressed and is not allowed. unless that is allowed now, too? chat went off again and will stay off.
in the spirit of fairness that seems to be the new theme for the new Eos map, i think shop owners should not be allowed to use perks to get shop items. no /fix, /fly or /god when gathering items to sell. no /uncrafting or /fixing items to sell, either. that is the only way to make it truly fair to all players and keep the economy in check. you're welcome.
what would be the point in donating or building apps if you can't use the perks, if they were to bring this in then it would be no perks for shop owners or in the nether. I don't use UC or Fix all for shop items but i do use fly and god.
yeah, i guess i was just being idealistic. in a perfect world everything would be fair. but it's not. i don't know why we couldn't bring valuables over then when people with perks can go get this stuff quickly anyway. just starting conversations to kill time :3

i found Eos and stuck with it all these years. got lucky. at least for 2 1/2 years. not so much now :(
was on Eos last night for the first time since 1.9 came out to video my builds. as i was flying around i saw a skeleton horse and went to take a closer look. lightning struck it and it turned into the four horsemen of the apocalypse. 1.9 is dumb. now mc is an action adventure game. thanks microsoft.
Yeah, the spawning rates for mobs, especially the undead horses, are through the roof now! Kinda annoying >.< Had like 2 dozen undead horses spawn around me all day yesterday!
i'm gonna make a video of my builds for posterity. the only thing i will transfer is my shop. so i should be on soon to make my video and get the coords for my shop to be transferred. still have to throw a few things into my transfer chest, as well. so i should see some of you soon
I feel for my brethren concerned with some of the new changes coming to Eos. But I couldn't even win an argument with them to enforce their own rule of no explicit language, so I doubt your complaints will be fruitful. Just let it happen <3
I agree, in the past few years i've witnessed Eos go from a really good server with an awesome staff team too a mediocre server with an "Okay" staff team (not hating on Eos) , i know back when i was staff the first time around a lot of the stuff said in chat would not have been allowed, like the word "twerking" was not allowed, but yet ass is? I do agree with you, look at it this way if a player on the server goes up to their parent and is like "you're an ass" they might question if Eos is a "Family friendly" server like it use to be. I have noticed a lot of areas where Eoscraft can improve, and yes i can say stuff like that since i've been on 3-4 times after being banned, and all my Alts ended up getting staff since i'm a "good member of the community" but yet was banned for attitude that was simply due to the staff team back then as well as now had/has favorites.
I know if i was older and had a little one i'd not want them to play on a server with explicit language since children pick up those little things that they read, its like smoking/drugs/drinking - all things that can be prevented "monkey see monkey do".
I guess Eos wants me to get on so they decided to do the map reset. I do need to put my sword and red suit into a chest. Anyone want some of my $500,000?

For realz. This arguing is physically and mentally exhausting for me. I love Eos and always will. We've had our ups and downs and disagreements, but we always work things out. I don't want to come across as an Eos-basher. I'm just not happy about that one issue and it will take me some time to get over it.
That is why I fight so hard for what I believe is right. I have played almost every day for over 2 years on here. I have donated money and hype. This is my second home. I really am sorry if I've upset people over this.
Omg. They locked my thread. I was going to point out how Doug's examples of using ass are exactly what I was referring to. He said it's not okay to say someone has a nice ass. Why not? It is not negative. It is just another word for butt that is allowed. Who is going to decide what context is appropriate and which isn't? Does it depend on who is staffing at the time? That will be confusing for both staff and members. I don't understand why Eos is suddenly in love with using ass. When I was staff we asked people not to use lmao or ass. Ass was never blocked by the filter, I never said it was. It just wasn't allowed. I miss the old staff. They were on the same page as me :(
Okay, but my point is someone has to decide if it is an appropriate use of ass or not, and if you just ask peeps not to use the word ass it wouldn't even be an issue.
No one asked you to disable chat. It is a swear word. Why is it so hard to ask people not to use it? If i didn't want the word bread used because it offended me personally, I could understand your argument. But I didn't make this up. Ass is a swear word. It's not just me who thinks so. I swear all the time irl. I'm not a prude. But I believe in polite conversation in society. I'm not the oddball here.
Since staff is sticking to it's policy of ass (referring to someone's butt) being a family friendly word, I am searching for a true family friendly server. Maybe one doesn't exist, but I will search until I hopefully find one. A little disappointing to me that staff chooses ass over me :( I will miss Eos and most of its members <3
