Still a bit depressed about losing peoples chests so I came back to our home port. Only one person so far has taken me up on my item replacement offer. I would like to thank Noah for learning how to "sail" the ship. It was Noah who brought us back to port... without a scratch. *hip hip hazzah* I now call him First Officer (sorry harris ) and he is qualified on the Sea Apple. Note that I am not planning to take her out to sea till Monday. Until I get my macro mod installed I am switching to a weekly sail schedule
Your chests were not robbed, it was me. I made a terrible mistake while moving the ship and lost the contents of everyone’s chest. I'm so sorry everybody. I tried to undo the damage and get them back but I had logged off and lost my buffer. Everyone has been so good on the ship. I haven’t had any trouble with people getting in other peoples chests and I thank you for that. So I am going to trust you and refund items within reason. Please be honest. Some of you had rather full chests while others were empty. Unfortunately I wont be back to do the refunds until Monday. Again, sorry for losing your items. See you on Monday.

Location: Frozen in the ice. (2585, 3845)

Due to weather beyond my control and a freak storm (no doubt due to global warming) we have become stuck in the ice. We are scheduled to move Monday but unless the weather cooperates she could stay frozen fast. Were not far into the ice, but we are stuck.
I went to a local Sikh Temple for a service and candlelight vigil last night. There was a lot of non Sikh community support present. After the service, there were speakers, one of whom had a brother killed in Wisconsin, who spoke about pluralism and unity in the face of racism and hate. We got a brief intro to Sikhism and a dinner I had not expected. It was mildly spicy and very much like Indian food with naan. I met up with another person from my church who, like me, had learned of the vigil from the news and just showed up. Our local TV channel (see image below) was also there covering the story so a few hours later I saw myself on the 11PM news. This is exactly the kind of response needed when right wing fascists make terrorist attacks like this. This is how we fight back. Not with fear and hate but with solidarity and education.
I find it sad that it happened int he first place. I live in Wisconsin, and seeing that on the news was not at all surprising. I know how horrible that is to say, but it's true. I've seen a lot worse, like mothers putting their babies in suitcases because they wouldn't pray at the dinner table, and a father that locked his son in a closet for three weeks straight (Needless to say the child did die). It's a horrible world, and it's not going to get any better. There are always going to be psychopaths and criminals.

I have come across some islands in the ocean. We have stopped in a bay along the central area of a long narrow pristine island. This place would be great for the tranquil home and garden as well as a good place for an evil overlords to build his (or her) base and perform unspeakable human experimentation. Any doctor Moreau's out there? Someone should claim this place. Anyway, I'll stay here a few days to stock up on water and hunt some animals before moving on.
