Hey guys, currently I am going through some family and irl problems so I will be a little inactive this week. This goes for all things, in-game, teamspeak, even apps, which is something I love doing. Hopefully you guys understand, and if I told you the reason, I hope you respect me enough to keep it between myself and you. Thanks guys, and sorry.
So lately I have not been posting updates about promotions/resignations on my wall, an someone requested I bring it back, so here we go. I will only be doing a few today, and don't want to make 5 post a day, so it will be a either daily thing, or ever other day update (unless nothing happens). I also got some people complaining about the orange font, which I can understand for long post. So I will keep the bodies to these post black, and then do it section by section. Today it will be a bit spammy, but once I get everything fixed, should be perfect!
This post will be regarding the topic about maturity, especially with it’s relationship with age. Recently I have been much more active on the forums and have noticed a lot of post addressing immature staff, or underage staff. Most of these post revolve around the fact that a 10 year old or young staff is immature and should not be staff. Now as an application staff member I do a lot of analysis with maturity. Now age definitely has a correlation with maturity, but not in the way many think. Now the way I see it is your age tells you what maturity level you must be at. This basically means a 7 year old is allowed to be immature because they are 7 and do not need to worry about actual things usually. Now if you are 16 then you must be much more mature because of big decisions, such as college. Now that doesn’t mean a 7 year old is always immature, it just means that they don’t have to be and a lot of time are immature, but maturity varies by person. This is the same thing with a 16 year old being mature. I know plenty of immature 16 year olds, but usually 16 year olds are much more mature than a 7 year old. Also I see threads complaining about immaturity with staff having some fun, while not breaking rules and still doing their job. No where does it say staff must not have fun and only be robots, actually we are told to try to do the opposite. If I never had fun while moderating, it would make it much less fun for other players. I love going into lobbies and interacting with players and joking around. Punishing rule breakers is a large part of my job, but not something I actually like doing. Just a few days ago I was going into random lobbies and hiding easter eggs filled with coins around the lobby. Now this was fun for me and the players because I got to have fun hiding them and giving hints to the players. Most of the players had a fun time finding them and winning the coins. For anyone who read the whole thing, thanks and hopefully you understand. Also I know I went a little off topic in the middle, but I still feel it relates to my main point. Lastly, if you have any questions/concerns/arguments with this post please do not try to start a little war in the comments. Message me if you think your reply may be doing that, so we can have an actual discussion about it. If you do start small wars, I will delete the comments and lock the comments, just to avoid wars. FINAL last point, I hate posting these things on my wall, but I felt this must be addressed.
