Well its because people still believe being transgender is a mental disorder, its in the The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition.
The reason why people stayed silent on Friday was not only due to this reason, but also because of public schools silencing people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. 4 in 5 members who are in that community feel like they are not represented well in schools and their community, are made fun of, and those who don't feel safe due to harassment and judgmental people.
As far as I'm concerned, people who change gender on the daily deserve to be judged. As an LGBTQWHATEVERTHEFUCK person myself I literally can't believe that people give a shit that they aren't "represented" in their community. This is the epitome of victimhood.

Hybalt, who is from the US! He’s looking to major in language interpretation and translation in the future, and he currently participates in a French club and is highly interested in the French language & culture! He’s never really seen himself as a sports person, but he does like to listen to music, that mostly being EDM. He’s also quite into politics as he likes seeing the change in the world and he’d like to do that with Mineplex; bring change!

He’s very enthusiastic about science, reading, and playing sports, as he hopes to continue studying chemistry in the future to learn more about how he can help the world. When he’s not busy preparing for his future, he’s playing on Mineplex and helping those around him with whatever he can. Pritt, who is from South Africa! Outside of Mineplex he loveees to go horse riding, even wanting to get paid for that if possible. He also plays Rugby for his school from time to time, along with recently starting to look into coding. As an ex-staff member he describes himself as an approachable and friendly individual, who plans to join KH and possibly RP in the future!
TheExpertOfChess, who is from the US! As the name suggests, he is an avid chess player and has been playing since the age of 4. He is currently creating a chess club at his school and volunteers around the community, often relating to chess! On Mineplex, he would like to take on a bigger role within the server and spend his days for others. In the future, he is hoping to join Trainee Management and experience as much as he can on the team!
