Planned 1.9 Shaders Feature + Perfomace Boost


LeCarlo_VC Posts: 724 Cookies: +502 Level 6 LEVEL 6 Untagged users	I saw this on the Minecraft Forums Even though it is very early to even be discussing about the 1.9 update just yet, but since this planned feature was revealed might as well discuss about it. The benefits i am seeing here is that Minecraft is taking a huge evolutionary step here, so instead on having fixed Open-GL functions we may get some sort of shaders which would make the game look very interesting and another planned feature is having performance being boosted and as it says in the photo above, being extensible. MsTaylorDevKellyBot	i've been playing shader mod for years... but fps kills me to death >.< i love seeing microsoft/mojang ( even though microsoft owned this) making this interesting shading minecraft, finally i can enjoy playing shading minecraft like real 3D minecraft ( similar to mass effect, skyrim, etc). But in 1.8 when they said we'd get performance boosts, the FPS of all most all people just decreased by a lot! With the performance boost with shaders it probably means that they are having it so that people that can't run shaders, can run shaders! Although I do agree the idea is unoriginal, I actually support this idea, because I have never used a shader in my life (lol 0FPS and I dunno how to install it). I'm looking foward to a nice FPS boost. Also, I hope this idea is toggleable, because I still may want to revert back to no shaders for something. It probably will. tl;dr AWESOME!!!
