Island Light Glitches....

Please help me with this! It's annoying the fudge out of me and the only possible solution i can think off is restarting my entire skyblock island profile thingy whatever, find a new location and start there, Also add to note on that: if an admin can copy what i already have got on my island that would also be great as it took me way too long to get it started .-.

Place a torch down...?
Starting in a new area won't fix this, it's the client that is causing a problem.

Don't worry parrot. It's totally normal and happens on most islands. You should see what my island looks like when you stand under it.

I'm typing this on my new Kindle. Yay :)

This happens, and there isn't really anything you can do about it since it's mojang's fault. If you want false hope, however, you can try using F3+A to force a reload of all terrain. It might help. Also, try placing and removing torches.

Helper on the Mojang bug tracker (and member of the #jira-helpers Mojang slack channel), maintainer of the World Downloader mod, and one of the people working on the Minecraft Protocol Documentation (among other things).

I tried placing and removing torches.... that kinda made it worse or no progress at all.... *sigh* i guess my mob grinder is going to be worthless now....

Well, light bugs are long time know by now...
I once seen a video about it ... cant remember who made it though ... anyway,
the only type of light bug u can fix and also the most common one is, if there is only air in a chunk-layer.
I think u got that bug ... u can fix it by just placeing string in that area and leave it placed.
Why does that help, u may ask ... well the light exposure of blocks in minecraft is saved chunk-layer wise.
A chunk-layer is an area in a chunk with a highs of 16 blocks ... so 16x16x16
So, if there is no blocks in an area (so only air) minecraft doesnt see a reason to save the light exposure for that area.
But as u noticed ... if there is a block at the chunk border... it will be dark after u reloaded the area.
When u want minecraft to save the light exposure in that area ... simply replace one block of that area with somthing thats not air. Hope that helped :d
