And all you're getting is 1 ore per 2 stacks. So you're getting 30-40 iron ore a day and you claim that that's how big islands would get rich? - If you are a "higher classed player", iron isn't very valuable. We use it all on hoppers and other similar components. - Iron farms can easily cough up a few stacks of iron a day and cost less resources. - Iron blocks have next to no island level value Giving charcoal and coal would seem more overpowered at the fact that you can just smelt all day. Skyblock is meant to be challenging. You should work to process wood into charcoal and use that to smelt things. Having iron ore as a reward is not OP. It took me: 22 mins to replant the 72 stacks of seeds 3 mins to bale up the 8 stacks of hay bales 2 mins to gather up the seeds (72 stacks set aside to replace those used and 42.5 stacks extra leftover) 27 mins total for 8 stacks of bales and 42.5 stacks of seeds unknown time of regrowth repeatable several times of day depending on regrowth time I watched a video for a full-auto farm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOAphqMEnAM) which boasts 176 wheat per minute in my test harvest I received 0.59 extra seeds per wheat so this autofarm could generate 103 extra seeds per minute, 16.2 stacks in 10 mins, 97 stacks per hour I don't know what effect this research will have, but i think it's important to do the due diligence to avoid the kind of problems that enderman farms created. iron may or may not be the best reward, but it would be nice to get something for these seeds rather than tossing them into the void. maybe a redstone reward would work if people want to avoid the iron. Maybe the reward could be cobble. Everyone at the start has seeds and is in need of cobble. 10 cobble per 2 stacks maybe? Posted Jan 21, 15
