So everyone knows that name changing option is now available, which is great and all. Except for some problems that we have encountered on dwarfscraft.

The problem here that when you change your name and join this server (and most likely other bukkit servers) what ever you had, rank, skyblock etc, you will loose it. When you change your name it reverts you back to a regular player. BUT i have a theory on a fix.

Instead of making the server recognize the name of the player's name, let the server recognize the player's UID.

How is this possible you say? Well since either the 1.6 or 1.7 update, mojang added in a UID system to prepare themselves for the name changes. Everyone has their own UID so that when you change your name, you will always be the same person. Even if you get banned and change your name you will also stay banned.

So what crisis is going on here on dwarfscraft? Well you see we got reports that people have lost their island and items on skyblock. I can confirm that your islands are still intact and not deleted, i've changed my name and my island and stuff is still there. I'm not quite sure about DvZ, but i believe it might be the same, it's bowser's work so maybe dvz is safe.

As i am typing this sentence i have spoke to pokechu about working on a fix for skyblock, we will get this sorted out everyone!
