Because 1.9 really changes the gameplay. There is also a mechanism to remove 1.9 delay weapons to clear that up. But with new arrows. Foods and shields. There is a whole new world. There is that, but 1.9 also adds many beneficial things to gameplay for DvZ. That, alongside all the pros that 1.9 introduces, we'll have more people with us, and the cooldowns can be negated with a simple plugin, and in vanilla can be negated with haste. pokechu22 Posts: 456 Cookies: +267 Level 5 LEVEL 5 Untagged users	If I recall correctly it's currently running 1.8 but 1.9 clients are able to connect (and the game behaves the same for them including allowing spam-clicking and blocking). So it's 1.8 combat but 1.9 can still play. I suspect 1.9 combat will be used as 1.9 craftbukkit matures. Helper on the Mojang bug tracker (and member of the #jira-helpers Mojang slack channel), maintainer of the World Downloader mod, and one of the people working on the Minecraft Protocol Documentation (among other things).
