EDIT by Admin: I changed the 'hiding' parts. Hiding underground, encasing yourself in blocks and crouching or going out of the castle premises is prohibited and will result in a 5 day ban or so. If you want to 'hide', stay at the far ends of the castle and avoid revealing yourself on the roof. You have been warned.
Tips to help you survive!
Baker
1.Find a good place to build! (see bottom for more info)
2.make food for yourself and share food among your fellow dwarfs!
3.As soon as the second day comes you MUST go and enchant your amour!
4. Amour must be 3 or 4 protection, preferably feather falling on boots. Weapons depend on how much time you have, enchant your sword first to at least sharpness 3 or 4 then your bow to power 3 or 4 depending on how much time you have left. You will need roughly two stacks of arrows! (note: the bow is not as useful as the sword but still is needed).
5. Bake more food! Place cakes everywhere! (hide the cakes otherwise bats will break them quickly)
6. Kill the wither quickly!
7. Now depending on where the rest of the dwarfs are position yourself slightly behind them, keep yourself reserved if you want to survive. If you want to die quickly rush straight into the enemy.
8. Kill the enemy! You can kill 2 to 3 at a time but try to avoid wolves and blazes unless you are backed up by your team mates.
Alchemist
1. Find a nice place to build (see bottom for more info)
2.Make potions! save some for yourself though.... and at least 2 mana potions for step 3.
3. Enchant (see baker for enchanting)
4. Make more potions.
5. Kill wither.
6. Team up with people, but if you cant then stick slightly behind dwarfs.
7. Avoid strong enemy's such as wolves and blazes unless in groups.
Tailor + Blacksmith
1. Find nice place to build (see baker for more info)
2. Make swords, bows, amour, keep at least 10 of each for yourself as these will come into play on step 3.
3. Enchant amour, weapons, you can use the 10 amour and weapons on the anvil to get more powerful stuff instead of having to search the ender chest for it.
4. Help your team mates and enchant amour for them, or make some more.
5. Team up, or kill later.
6. Slay wither!
7.Avoid strong enemy's.
Builder
1. Build until 400 bricks!
2. Get unenchanted amour!
3. On day ones night enchant your stuff and quick
4. Continue building!
5. Team up just before wither!
6. Kill wither.
7. Reserve yourself for later or kill with your team!
Good places to build!
Somewhere between the shrine and the edge of the building limit, where it is not to busy, this is normally a good place to put a workshop as you wont have everyone bothering you and if you put it on the second floor of the fortress you wont get as many monsters attacking you.
