New computer - Any ideas on what to buy?

Hi, I am the owner of a cruddy old dell computer. It served it's purpose, but now it has to go. I wan't your suggestions on what to buy.

Requirements needed:
Must be a PC - I hate Macs
Budget is £500 - £2000
Needs atleast 8 - 16 GB of RAM.
Must be first hand - None of ebay please!
Needs atleast
Either Intel core I7 or I5
16384MB of Memory
Decent graphics card. Maybe NVIDIA?

What're your suggestions? :d

1 TB Memory
Quad Core (not as much, but comes at a cheap price, you can always replace it with i7)
8G RAM Online (you can allocate about 2 of this to your server or Minecraft, RAM is SUPER cheap right now and it is way easy to add to your system).
Windows 7 Home Premium (Here is a PC that comes with Windows 8 Pro ).

This is a pretty good computer that is cheap for its readiness.

However I recommend building your computer, if you do (once you get all the right power supplies etc.) just ask me and I can help you ;)

Don't need to worry about the tele. Already have a 32" Smart TV that I use :d

At the moment, I am looking at Alienware. They seem pretty nice. I might try Acer as well.

Alienware is way too much money for what you get, and Acer (really >_>)? I recommend just custom building your PC, way cheaper and a PC more fit to you in the long run, it is definitely worth it :)

The alienware I am wanting is £2100 And comes with all the specs required + HD webca, and Headset. It's tempting, but I wanna search some more.

Anyways, I would suggest Alienware but maybe a gently used one, because that would be a much cheaper price.

Alienware is a computer type or HARDWARE not a SOFTWARE.

Alienwares are WAYYYY to much for what they actually do.

I've heard that Alienware is overpriced, but I'm too lazy to actually look at the specs. Would be worth looking into, though.

Have you considered looking through the Asus Republic of Gamers line? Unfortunately, you can't seem to buy them off of the Asus site (or at least without logging in) and they're kinda hard to find online, but they really are fantastic. I have an Asus laptop that's just below the RoG performance threshold and I've been satisfied with it for the price I paid (which was not much, lol).

Here's a link to one I found online for $1600 plus shipping, so you can look at the specs and such. Might be worth taking a look, although you'd have to look up the site to make sure it's trustworthy and such. :)

EDIT: Whoa, I thought those were dollars signs, not pound symbols. You could probably afford something more like a CG8580 with all the trimmings with that budget. Wow.
